Therapeutic Bodywork & Massage Swedish Massage uses a system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the superficial layers of muscle. General relaxation, relief of muscle tension, improved circulation and range of motion are among the benefits of this technique.
Hot Stone Massage reduces muscle tension, using heated stones to enhance muscle relaxation.
Myofascial Release is a gentle therapeutic technique utilizing light pressure and stretching to release tension and stress in the fascia, which surrounds the body’s muscles and organs. It is an excellent tool to help release the stress of old trauma or injury and effectively reduces pain and restores mobility.
Shiatsu is the Japanese form of acupressure, in which finger pressure is applied to the body’s energy pathways (meridians) to help restore balance to the energy flow. Shiatsu promotes a sense of well-being and relaxation and helps stimulate the body’s and mind’s natural ability to heal.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive technique that directs the body’s natural healing mechanisms to dissipate the negative effects of stress on the central nervous system. The craniosacral system consists of the bones of the skull, spine, sacrum and the cerebrospinal fluid and the surrounding membranes. This therapy is effective in treating symptoms related to stress such as chronic headaches, T.M.J. pain, and neck and back injuries.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) stimulates the immune system and promotes detoxification. By re-circulating fluids accumulating throughout the lymph vessels and nodes, natural defenses against infection are released, reducing swelling and chronic pain.
Deep Tissue Massage uses cross-fiber techniques with various strokes to reach connective or myofascial tissues. Deep tissue massage releases muscle tension and spasms and may be used to break up adhesions and scarring within the muscle.
Chair Massage is a short, seated massage that covers the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. It is a simple way to relieve stress, improve employee morale, and increase productivity.
Aromatherapy uses pure, high grade, therapeutic essential oils in conjunction with massage and bodywork to restore natural balance and harmony throughout the body.
