Becoming Center Purchases Pool Wheel Chair

Gina Formica, Director of the Becoming Center and Scott Seiz, CEO of Delcrest, are proud of the Becoming Center’s new pool wheelchair. The chair is specially designed to allow people with physical limitations to easily access the pool and receive valuable aquatic therapy. The purchase was made possible by DelCrest, as a corporate donor, and Becoming Center members and staff who raised funds. Thank you to all of our members who donated and participated in our fundraisers!

Abby Sandler: A Story of Perserverance

In 1992, I was in the prime of my life. I was a healthy, single mother of two children, ages 12 and 14 and had received an impressive promotion at my job.

My life then changed when I was in a catastrophic, car accident. I needed reconstructive spinal surgery, slept the next six months in a hospital bed in my living room and endured two years of intense, physical therapy.
